On this page, we'll look at how to connect your domain name to systeme.io.
Important note: a domain name can only be used for one site. If the domain name you intend to connect to systeme.io is already assigned to an external site, the latter will no longer be functional once it has been added to systeme.io.
Step 1: On your systeme.io account
1.1 Click on your profile picture, then on "Settings". Once in the settings area, click on "Customised domain names".
Then click on "Add a domain name":
1.2 A pop-up window will appear asking you to enter your domain name, which must be preceded by "www". Example: www.domaine.com:
1.3. Once the domain name has been added and registered, a new pop-up window appears. You will see two lines of values that we call CNAME.
Step 2: On your LWS account
1. Log in to your LWS customer area and click on the"Manage" button corresponding to the domain name you wish to link to Systeme.io.
2. Click on the"DNS Zone" menu to access and modify all the Zones of your domain name.
3. You will then need to fill in the records provided by systeme.io (example in the screenshot below), taking the host as the name and indicating the corresponding value:
4. Look for the CNAME zone for the value www and click on the stylus to change this zone to the value supplied by Systeme.io (don't forget the "." at the end of the value).
5. Indicate the value of the record in the CNAME field and confirm by clicking on the"Save" button.
6. Add the second DNS record, respecting name=host and the associated value.
Step 3: Redirection
Create a redirect from domain.com to www.domaine.com
1. Log in to your LWS customer area and click on the"Manage" button corresponding to the domain name linked to Systeme.io.
2. Click on the"Web redirection" button in the"Manage domain" section
3. In the new page, click on the"domain.ext -> www.domaine.ext" option (1) then click on the"validate" button (2) without modifying the values in the form.
4. Check that your domain redirects to the version with "www" from your browser after clearing its cache.
Important note: a sub-domain can only be used for one site. If the sub-domain you intend to connect to systeme.io is already assigned to an external site, the latter will no longer be functional once it has been added to systeme.io.
Step 1: On your systeme.io account
1.1 Click on your profile photo, then on "Settings". Once in the settings area, click on "Customised domain names" and then on "Add a domain name":
1.2 A pop-up window will appear asking you to enter your sub-domain. You must enter your sub-domain name " sub-domain.domain.com" then click Save.
1.3. Once the sub-domain has been added and saved, a new pop-up appears.
4. Add the two CNAME records, respecting name=host and the associated value.
