How to connect my domain name to Lovable.dev

Procédure

A custom domain allows you to use your own domain or sub-domain for your published Lovable project. When you connect a custom domain, visitors can access your application via a custom URL instead of the project's default xxx.lovable.appURL.
Connecting a custom domain improves the performance of your site:

  • Brand identity: appear more reliable and professional
  • Search engine visibility: better referencing and discoverability
  • Memorability: easier for users to share and remember

Requirements

To connect a custom domain, make sure that :

  • You have a paid subscription to Lovable.
  • Your project is published on Lovable
  • You have registered your domain name with LWS.

Connect a custom domain

Actions to perform on your Lovable interface

You can connect a domain from two locations:

  • Project → Settings → Domains
  • Publish modal window → Custom domain

Follow the steps below to connect a custom domain:

  • Click Connect Domain.
  • Enter your domain or subdomain (for example, yourdomain.com or blog.yourdomain.com), click Connect Domain, and then click Continue.

When adding a domain, Lovable does not automatically add the www subdomain. You can add it separately if you want both.

Scroll to the bottom of the "Select your domain provider" modal window and choose "Go to our manual configuration".

Actions to perform on your LWS interface

Copy the A record then go to the DNS Zone of your LWS domain to replace the value of the existing record with the name @ by following this documentation.

In the same way, add a TXT DNS record to add the one indicated by Lovable.

Once the registrations have been made on LWS, return to your Lovable interface and click Done. Please wait while the SSL certificate is verified and issued. Once these steps have been completed, the domain will be activated and your Lovable application will be accessible on your personalised domain.

[DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate, although most updates take effect within a few hours

.

Conclusion

You now know how to :

  • Check the prerequisites for connecting a custom domain to your Lovable project.
  • Perform the actions required on your Lovable and LWS interface to link your domain to your application.

By following these steps, you have taken a significant step towards strengthening your online presence and maximising the impact of your Lovable project. 🌐✨
