Why restrict the use of my email service?

• Enabling 2FA on webmail : If you enable two-factor authentication on webmail, this functionality is not available on devices connecting via IMAP, POP and SMTP, so it may be worth removing these protocols to force users to go through webmail and this secure functionality.

• Remove access to webmail: You can also completely restrict access to webmail, forcing users to connect to the email address from an email application.

How do I restrict use of my email service?

First of all, you need to log into your LWS customer area and access the management of your hosting or mail service concerned.

Once you are in your hosting management, click on the"E-mails" icon in the"Email Addresses" section.

Click on the"Action" button behind one of your email addresses, then on "Configure restrictions".

In the window that appears, you can restrict one or more of the following functions: POP, IMAP, SMTP and Webmail access.

Once the restrictions have been validated, information will appear next to the email address in the listing to alert you that a restriction has been activated on this email address.
