Hotlinking (also known as file leeching, remote linking, direct linking, bandwidth theft or bandwidth banditry) is a term used to describe a fraudulent operation: it consists of creating a direct link between one of a domain owner's web pages and images (or other multimedia files) on another domain owner's web pages, usually using a marker. If your domains are subject to hotlinking, you will probably have a problem with excessive bandwidth consumption.
1. Log in to the administration area of your web hosting and click on the"Hotlinks Protection" menu in the "Security" section.
2. Choose the operating mode you want(Activate or Deactivate) then click Validate to save.
You can now activate Hotlinks protection on your shared hosting with LWS. Hotlinks protection allows you to protect your web hosting against bandwidth theft.
